How to create a geofence?

A Geofence can be created by searching the location of the actual real-world geographic area on the platform and drawing a perimeter around it.


User can define the actual real-world geographic area by:Creating a geofence at a vehicle’s location

  • The user can also select a vehicle and create a geofence around the vehicle’s last known location


For eg:

If a vehicle has reached an important location for the fleet manager, they can create a geofence around that location by selecting the vehicle’s location to monitor the fleet operations efficiently.

  • Inputting the exact location coordinates 

  • Searching the address of the location

  • Searching a vehicle’s last known location


Creating a default shaped geofence

  • The user can select the ‘All Geofences’ option under the Geofence section on the navigation panel.

  • Click on the ‘Add Geofence’ button to add a new geofence

  • The can define the name, address as well as the shape of the the geofence as per required.



Creating a custom shaped geofence
  • The user can select the ‘All Geofences’ option under the Geofence section on the navigation panel.

  • Click on the ‘Add Geofence’ button to add a new geofence

  • The can define the name, address as well as the category of the the geofence as per required.

  • User can click on the ‘Draw Geofence’ option to draw the geofence as per required.





Creating a geofence at a vehicle’s location
  • The user can also select a vehicle and create a geofence around the vehicle’s last known location
