Troubleshooting Door and AC sensor

Q. Why is the Door and AC Status Updation Wrong? 


In some cases, you might face a situation where the actual door status is different from what is shown on the platform. Those situations are as follows:

  • The vehicle door is open but the platform is showing as closed

  • The vehicle door is closed but the platform is showing as open.


Don’t worry, our dedicated LocoNav Cares team is committed to addressing any concerns you may encounter. Here are the possible reasons for the above issues, along with solutions for the same:

  • The device may not be configured to send the update instantly. Instead, it sends one 5-10 minutes after the action. 

Solution: If this is the case, please get in touch with our LocoNav Cares support team to configure the device in a way that will send alerts as soon as the door is opened or closed. 

  • If you just opened the door and you received a notification or an update on the platform that the door is closed, then the door status is not mapped in the right manner.
    Solution: If this is the case, kindly get in touch with our LocoNav Cares support team to map the door status correctly by inverting the data on the platform.


There might be a situation where the status of the door is not changing at all. In that case:

  • Step 1: Check if the device is not offline.

  • Step 2: Check if the device is active by opening the door and waiting for 10 to 15 minutes.

  • Step 3: If the status of the door has not changed, the sensor wiring might be faulty.

  • Step 4: Check and ensure the sensor wiring is proper and not tampered with.
